KeepTool supports Oracle database versions from as early as Oracle 8 up to the current Oracle12c Release 2 database.
Additionally, KeepTool includes limited support down to version 7.3.4.
KeepTool does not require any serverside installation. Hora's "Standard" and "Additional" tools are available without any further database privileges.
The "DBA" tools can be used, if any of the following roles privileges is granted
•SELECT ANY DICTIONARY (Oracle 9i and later) or SELECT ANY TABLE (up to Oracle 8i)
The optional role HORA_USER contains the minimum of privileges needed to show the DBA tools at least read-only. It can be installed by running the HORA_USER.sql script as user SYS.
In order to make changes using the context menus, further database privileges may be required. See Oracle documentation for further information.
For using the PL/SQL debugger, DEBUG CONNECT SESSION privilege is needed.
